Ecole Ronsard marked its Ghana Day celebration to commemorate Ghana’s 61st Independence Anniversary. The day’s activities were observed by all the classes in the school ranging from the Crèche to the Primary department.
The occasion saw students beautifully clad in various Ghanaian traditional outfits, partake in activities true to the Ghanaian heritage. Also, there were plays which retold the Independence story of Ghana. Students sang songs and played indigenous Ghanaian games such as ludo, and oware.
When it was lunch time, everyone took a bite of one of the best and healthiest Ghanaian dishes called ampesi (boiled plantain) with kontomire stew (cocoyam leaves prepared with palm oil).
Since Ecole Ronsard is a school which respects diversity, we provide students from different backgrounds the opportunity to share cultures through such occasions.
On behalf of the entire Ronsard Community, we wish Mother Ghana a Happy 61st Birthday!
